So, it’s been two months since I’ve last updated this space.
Thought that it’s high time I give this blog a solid update, haha.
I’m sorry for disappearing again and again.
Blogging here is sometimes the last thing on my mind when there are too many things going on in my life.
But each time I do, it’s a nice feeling.
It’s like talking to a long lost old friend.
I’ve some photos of Fiji to share and I wanted to do so before I jet off to some other parts of the world in the upcoming months of Sep/Oct.
I was lucky to be part of a group of Nuffnang bloggers to be sent on an overseas trip to Fiji,
courtesy of Fiji Airways and Tourism Fiji.
The kind folks at Fiji Airways bumped Yina and I to Business Class seats for our flight there.
Believe me, the 10 hour flight barely even felt like 5 hours.
We were more than well fed and had every single need well taken care of.
The seats were cushy.
We had fluffy pillows, fluffy duvets and sound proof headphones for a peaceful slumber.
The crew was warm, hospitable, delightfully chatty and the overall service was undoubtedly superb.
What can I say about the food?
It’s definitely the best airline food I’ve ever had, no contest there.
And of course,
I didn’t pass up the chance to try on the captain’s hat.
The flight was impeccable and you’ll be happy to know that Fiji Airways is now offering direct flights from Singapore to Fiji.
Instead of the previously painful 20-hour flight with transit in between,
you can now head to Fiji in the most comfortable way possible with minimal air time.
Where is Fiji?
The question that I had in my mind when my manager Mabel told me about the possibility of me going on the trip.
Don’t worry if you think that Fiji is part of Japan,
that’s what most of my friends thought when I told them that I’ll be heading to Fiji.
Fiji, a country in the South Pacific, is an archipelago of more than 300 islands.
It’s famed for rugged landscapes, palm-lined beaches and coral reefs with clear lagoons.
I was so hyped to be able to explore such an exotic place and learn things about a country that is generally “untouched” by Singaporeans.
And because I took so many photos of beautiful Fiji over the course of the one week we spent there,
I’m going to be share some photos and information about our accommodation there so that you list them under your consideration when you plan for your Fiji trip!
Radisson Blu Resort
A cosy family style resort.
From what I can remember, the suites were modern looking, huge and clean.
I also particularly enjoyed the huge selection at their breakfast buffet!
The Pearl Resort and Spa
My favourite part of this resort definitely has to be the view from the room balcony.
Dinner was sumptuous and I loved the bar area!
Also, they thoughtfully welcomed us with yummy and a tray of the most photogenic fruit punch.
Oh and I must mention that every resort has their own version of seashell necklace and we were delighted to have collected an array of them by the end of our trip.
They also make apt accessories for our beach themed outfits!
Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa
Was down with stomach flu during this stretch of the trip, but that didn’t stop me from grabbing my sunhat and sunnies and heading out to the poolside and beachside.
Got my first glimpse of a Fiji sunset from their private beach and it was so glorious.
The Palms Apartment
Our last stop was my personal favourite out of all,
largely due to the fact that it was so cosy and felt right like home.
It also reminded me of the apartment which I stayed at when I was in Brisbane last year!
They also have a cute little cafe serving up awesome grub, just situated within the compound.
I’ve had great stays at each of the places featured in this post.
Next up, I’ll do up a post on trip highlights!
But first, I need to do one last round of packing for Croatia happening in less than 24 hours.
Talk to you guys soon. X
